What happened between HUAWEI and Google ?

What is Huawei ?

Huawei Technologies is a multinational company which was founded on 1987 A.D and is now a leading company that provides telecommunications equipment and sells  smartphone s. Huawei, as one of the early player entered the 5G era, apparently attaches great importance to 5G development. As mentioned above, Huawei started to develop its own 5G technology as early as in 2009. In 2016, Huawei set up a 5G product line for 5G products. Today, more than thousands of employees are engaged in 5G product development. Following this, in 2017 and 2018 Huawei invested almost US$1.4 billion into 5G product development(src:Huawei). Most likely, In southeast Asia  Huawei will be driving 5g in.

Is this the first time HUAWEI suffered ?

No,Canada arrested Meng Wanzhou on Dec. 1 who is "Huawei's Chief Financial Officer"at the request of the United States. Meng was charged with bank and wire fraud to violate American sanctions against Iran. Huawei, along with another Chinese network equipment company, ZTE Corp , has been accused by the United States of working at the behest of the Chinese government. The United States has said their equipment could be used to spy on Americans. Huawei has repeatedly denied the claims.(source :CNBC)

What happened between Huawei and Google ?

It seems to be result of  Us-China Trade War that the States increased the import duty to 35%

which already was affected the export of chinese products. And also the US President Donald Trump has signed the Defense Authorization Act into law. Section 889 ( PROHIBITION ON CERTAIN TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SERVICES OR EQUIPMENT) bans use by government agencies and contractors of Huawei or ZTE technologies.

 After this google suspended its service with huawei which meant google services won't be coming up with the huawei devices.

What does this ban mean to huawei ?

 Android is open source platform so despite the ban Huawei smartphones still can have access to android but the popular apps like PLAY STORE ,GMAIL wont be available on it. The main problem with huawei is that they wont be able to recieve the updates from google which is actually disappointing for users.This will affect on the optimization of the phone.

Will it affect existing Huawei devices ?

The US government temporarily eased some of the restrictions on Huawei which means for the next three months, the company is allowed to purchase US-made goods and provide software updates to existing Huawei handsets.
